This day, June 5, marks the Foundation Day of the International Human Rights Organization with a renewed resolved to dedicate itself to the cause of socio-economic emancipation and political freedom of the people in consonance with the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

IHRO calls upon all its cadres India-wide and its six lakh members as well as our collaborator-organizations spread over twenty friendly countries of the world to celebrate this day with a sense of service and humility, hold meetings, seminars, discussions and cultural shows highlighting the achievements and aims and ideals of IHRO.

Even as we may look back with a sense of pride over the progress. made so far since the launch of IHRO in 2009 we are indeed not going to rest on our oars. Hence our firm resolve to march ahead with the help of our dedicated cadres and units in different parts and regions of the country.

IHRO FOUNDATION DAY & WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

 

IHRO International Human Rights Organization incollaboration with UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan is organising an event on Sunday to mark the World Environment Day at the India Islamic Cultural Centre in Delhi, under the theme, “Our Environment: Challenges and Responsibilities”. 
The event will be attended by the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu along with eminent environmentalists. Sunita Narain, director of the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) will be awarded a lifetime achievement award, which will be followed by a panel discussion with the eminent environmentalist. 
Rakesh Sharma, Managing Director, IHRO said, “On this World Environment Day, when we complete 44 years this year, it is time to look back and see what we have actually done all these years to the resolution passed in 1972 apart from just holding discussion and debates.” IHRO will also be felicitating 32 children out of the 10,000 participants who participated in various competitions across the country. Ernst and Young (Gurgaon), ITC Maurya (Delhi) and Gaur City (Noida) will be awarded with the most eco-friendly corporate, hotel and housing complex respectively. “On this day we should all pledge to make planet Earth a better place to live for us and for the generations to come,” he added.
